- Yes, sir.
This is a management game ranch, and we have a carrying capacity we only carry so many animals.
There's orange tag does, so those going to be free to harvest they're at the age capacity where they've had four years of generation growth.
Make sure you make ethical shots on these animals.
We don't want animals to suffer or have any problems.
Right behind the shoulder, either a heart or a lung shot's what we're looking for, drops the animal pretty quick.
You don't want to have any animals suffering chasing off or running around or your gonna have problems.
- Somebody tell me what this is right here.
- (indistinct) - What kind of action is it?
- What is this?
Bolt.
What is that?
Chamber.
This?
Scope.
What is this right here?
- (indistinct) - A safety is a mechanical device.
that's known to fail.
- Should you ever rely on a safety?
Never rely on a safety.
Anybody have any questions about this?
Let's go make it happen.
(chatter) (chatter) (chatter) - Okay hold on to it right there.
Good.
(indistinct) Come here Jaylen.
This is only her second hunt And just so everybody knows, she's got ice water running through her veins.
(chatter) (chatter) (chatter) - What does it look like?
- It looks like something from one of those love movies.
- (indistinct) - (indistinct) - Can you handle it?
- Okay, hold the gun.
- You guys are good.
Can you see her?
- Yeah, but there's like a little bush.
- It's fine, you can shoot through the bush.
- Okay.
- You just have to get behind her shoulder, okay?
- Okay.
- See the one on the right?
- Yes, sir.
- You can shoot it in that position.
Think you can make that shot?
- No, sir.
- Oh they're moving, oh they're moving.
- Okay.
She's going to come to the left.
We want the one at the back.
Okay, so can you look?
- Take your time.
Don't put your finger on the trigger, don't put your finger on the trigger until your ready to go.
- [Female instructor] You got a shot?
- Yeah.
- Oh yeah, she's moving to the right.
Just let her go, just let her go.
Just wait, she's going to stop.
- Oh she's behind it now.
Its okay, she'll move.
Here, shake out your arms.
There you go.
It's good.
Woo.
Shake out those arms.
- [Male instructor] Oh, look at that big one coming back there.
Holy crap.
Do they run everything off?
- There you go that's your shot.
Doing okay?
- My eye keeps on going blurry.
- [Male Instructor] Look at that one in the back.
The biggest one.
Holy crap.
- I Have her body.
- Take it!
- You got her body?
- I lost her.
- Those red stag, we're not going to harvest those yet.
because the herd is too small.
It's very, very important that you keep everything in balance.
- There's your body.
Alright, You should have a shoulder now.
Take the shot.
Deep breath in.
Let it out.
- There you go.
- You got this Jaylen.
- Perfect shot.
She's ready.
Come on.
She's about to move.
- Put it on safe.
You gotta make sure it's on safe.
You did a really good job.
Cause I was a couple of times he was pulling around.
And you could have probably taken the shot, but we want to wait for the perfect shot.
That way you don't make a bad shot or you don't wound him.
It's very, very important that you don't do that.
- It's unethical, it isn't safe and it's illegal.
- That's exactly right.
(indistinct) ethical, safe and is illegal.
That's exactly right.
We'll have another chance this afternoon or tomorrow.
That's why they call it hunting.
- Good job.

- I feel good.
